My work is very much influenced by film photography—the charm, the aesthetic, the way every image is perfectly imperfect but tells a story. You'll often find me incorporating 35mm film and Polaroids into my digital work. My wedding and elopement packages come with complimentary Polaroid prints for you to take home, tuck into a book, or pin to the fridge. are you an inclusive photographer?
Fernie is a mountain town that experiences all four seasons and each season has its own magic and endless list of things to do for you and your wedding guests. The best time of year for a Fernie wedding is May to October because most venues are only available during this time, and the weather is better! Personally, my favourite time of year for weddings is September - the weather is not too hot, the fall colours are starting to turn, and it is less busy than the summer months!
what's the best time of year to have a wedding in Fernie?
Absolutely!! An initial 30% non-refundable retainer to hold your date is required, then the rest of your package balance can be split up into additional payments, just let me know this upon booking and we can make a payment schedule that works for you!
Do you offer payment plans?
This can vary depending on the package, type of coverage, and style of photographer, but most couples spend $3500 to $5000 on average for Fernie wedding photographers.
how much does a fernie wedding photographer cost?
Fernie has a variety of wedding venues for both your ceremony and reception, with incredible views. With small towns also means a limited amount of options so ensure you reach out to venues well in advance to secure your date! To name a few, Island Lake Lodge, Fernie Alpine Resort, Fernie Wilderness Adventures, Elk Run Ranch, and Alpine Lodge.
what are the best fernie wedding venues?
Yes! Firstly, I shoot with a camera that has dual memory cards, so there are always two copies of your images as I am shooting. After your session, I back up your photos in multiple locations to ensure there are always copies available and that they are safe. I do encourage you to do the same and backup your photos in multiple locations when you download your gallery.
do you backup our photos?
For sessions, I am open to rescheduling one time if the weather is extremely bad! For weddings, EMBRACE it, choose to let go of the uncontrollable and focus on having the best day possible. Sometimes the best thing to do is roll with the punches on the day of and that's when some magical images can be created!
what happens if there is bad weather?
Yes! Though I am based in Fernie, BC, I am always up for travel and am happy to go wherever love takes me! A travel fee may apply depending on the location!
