There’s something about Fernie in the summer — the mountains feel close, the air is warm, and everything slows down just enough to soak in the beauty of it all. Zoe & Luke’s July wedding was the perfect reflection of that feeling. They hosted their intimate day with 60 of their closest family and friends, keeping everything meaningful, connected, and deeply personal.
Zoe’s mom’s backyard in Fernie made for a stunning ceremony space — think tall trees, open sky, and that easy, relaxed energy that only comes from being at home. It felt secluded yet expansive, the kind of setting that makes you want to stay a little longer. Their reception was just a short drive away at Zoe’s family’s old barn, a space full of character and nostalgia. With wooden beams, vintage decor touches, and warm evening light, it was the perfect backdrop for heartfelt toasts and dancing as the sun went down.

A Vintage & Editorial Vibe
One thing about Zoe & Luke’s wedding — it was dripping with style. Zoe’s bridal look was effortlessly editorial, with vintage-inspired details that tied everything together without feeling overly styled. Luke pulled up for portraits in his Chevy Nova, which felt straight out of a vintage magazine spread. We wandered the property, taking photos with the family horses and soaking in every bit of golden hour light that filtered through the fields.
The whole day had that perfectly worn-in, nostalgic vibe — like flipping through an old family album but with an editorial edge. That balance between laid-back and intentional is what made their day so memorable, and exactly why I love photographing intimate weddings like this one in Fernie.
