From the moment I met Morgan and Trevor, it was obvious that their relationship was built on friendship. After nearly eight years together, they have created a life full of the simple things they love most—slow mornings, weekday walks, road trips, coffee, playing crib, and spending time with their pup Mack.
Their wedding day felt exactly like that.

Morgan and Trevor celebrated their wedding with an outdoor ceremony in Cranbrook before heading to St. Eugene Golf Resort for an evening filled with dinner, speeches, dancing, and plenty of laughter.

A Beautiful Summer Wedding in Cranbrook
Morgan and Trevor’s July wedding was one of those perfect summer days in the East Kootenays.
Their ceremony took place outdoors surrounded by family and friends before everyone made their way to St. Eugene Golf Resort to continue celebrating.
What stood out to me most about their day was how calm everything felt. There was so much excitement, but never a feeling of being rushed. There was time to take everything in, spend time with the people around them, and actually enjoy the day they had spent so long planning.
Those are the weddings I love being part of.
A Ceremony Filled With Emotion
After eight years together, Morgan and Trevor’s ceremony felt like such a meaningful moment.
They had built a life together long before this day, and it was so special to see them surrounded by the people who had been there through their journey.
One of my favourite parts of any wedding day is seeing the reactions that happen naturally—the nerves before walking down the aisle, the way a room changes when the couple sees each other, and the hugs and excitement that follow once they are officially married.
Those are the moments that tell the story of a wedding day.
Wedding Portraits That Feel Natural
Before their wedding, Morgan mentioned that Trevor wasn’t always the biggest fan of having his photo taken.
Honestly, I hear that from a lot of couples.
The good news is that wedding portraits don’t need to feel like a photoshoot.
My approach is to give couples enough direction that they never feel unsure of what to do, while still leaving space for their personalities to come through. Instead of focusing on perfect poses, we spent time walking, talking, laughing, and letting things happen naturally.
Some of my favourite images came from those in-between moments—the way they laughed together, the quiet pauses, and the little interactions that happen when two people are completely comfortable with each other.
Wedding Reception at St. Eugene Golf Resort
After the ceremony, everyone headed to St. Eugene Golf Resort to celebrate the rest of the evening.
St. Eugene is one of my favourite wedding venues in the Cranbrook area because it offers so much variety in one location. Between the beautiful grounds, mountain views, and spaces for both intimate moments and larger celebrations, it gives couples the freedom to enjoy their entire day without feeling like they are constantly moving from place to place.
Morgan and Trevor’s reception was exactly what they hoped for—an evening spent surrounded by friends and family, heartfelt speeches, lots of laughter, and a packed dance floor.
