Kelly & Ian – Hooked On Love!

A winter engagement session in the stunning Crowsnest Pass in Alberta, was the perfect way to kick off the 2024 season. Kelly and Ian were the sweetest couple who were newly engaged and looking to document this new adventure of love and life that they are heading into. These two spend most of their time fly fishing on the rivers and all over the world, so it was fun to see them dressed up without waders on! We met in the morning, and all braved the cold, windy, Crowsnest Pass winter day. I’m so pleased with the result of Kelly and Ian’s winter engagement session – a real love, that shines through.

Why a Winter Engagement Session?

Winter is a very common time for people to get engaged! Especially around Christmas and New Years. So why have a winter engagement session!? The winter can be a magical time for a photo session, with the snow covered peaks and landscapes. Though it can be harder to get to different locations for your winter engagement session, the places you can access are usually quieter in the winter months, giving you more privacy and seclusion for your session. And who doesn’t love to get cozy with their partner, I think that is the best part – you have no excuses to snuggle up with your partner!
